I am a Neurology Resident Doctor at the Central Hospital of Lisbon, Portugal, with a diverse background in Medicine, having studied and worked in various medical schools and hospitals across the globe, including Mexico, Germany, Peru, Austria, Italy, Azores, and mainland Portugal. Throughout my experiences, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, which has nurtured my intereste in multiculturality and language learning (currently speaking fluent English, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish).In addition to my medical expertise, I have also developed a keen interest in information technology, including skills in programming with Python, SQL database queries, and foundational data analysis. As a firm believer in the upcoming technological revolution in healthcare, I am eager to take part in this transformative field and leverage my medical knowledge to drive innovation.Looking for exciting opportunities to expand my skillset and contribute to cutting-edge projects in healthcare technology and data analysis.

In 2025, I was asked by the co-president of Volt Portugal
“In your opinion, what’s wrong with the national healthcare system?”I knew that public healthcare spending had been steadily increasing, as had the number of medical students—despite policymakers insisting it still needs to grow. I was also aware that, in recent years, many Portuguese medical graduates have been choosing not to pursue a specialty, and instead are emigrating, changing careers, or working as freelancers.Curious to better understand the root of the problem, I looked into the public data available.
